Start of first full season for HupBram

Written by HupBram at 17:48 25/5-2020

After joining the OCM competition during the end of season 52, HupBram moved up quickly from the bottom division to division 6 within a month time. All thanks to team captain Roelof van Hintum, who mainly scored results, but also is responsible for the first team win.

However, since entering division 6 the rise of the team has slowed down. Roelof van Hintum can't score all the point for the team on his own. Therefore, the team manager was forced to make some hard decisions and decided to cut-down the former selection.

There no longer was place for the youngster who couldn't make the step forwards. They have been replaced by experienced riders who where free on the market. The biggest regional talents (such as Jort Siepel, Charley de Nooy and Sebestian Tempelaars) are now trained in the hope they can become the new Dutch rising stars. However, the team manager is still looking for a second team captain and also keeps his eyes open for interesting international talents.

The team keep focusing on the climbing stages, but also tries to innovate itself towards a hill squad. Our goal this season is to score more wins and thereby battle for a promotion to division 5.

  We can do it!

Definetely! That's key here. You can trust me when I say so, my last win was back at middle of S51, I did sell my captain to start in a new discipline, but I'm getting closer now to get that win to motivate my team (2nd, 4th and 6th last races with Douglas and Podnieks).

Thanks! I also might have to be a bit more patient ;)

Don't give up if a guy doesn't want to do what you want (training more). It happens every day, and there famous cases that you would not believe.

I told him. Sad about Rik's low max :(

Holwerda Cycling at 11:57 26/5-2020
Shame about Rik maxing so early.
The others are normally not good enough to train. It is not captain material. Usually, only captain material is trained and when they max early they become team mates.
If you want to train someone, train Jort first. Train only him and in the mean time look for other good talents or older team mates.

and Evert Halsema... (TT very good). But I am trying to make the best out of it!

HupBram at 11:13 26/5-2020
  Thanks both!

Potentials goold be better Holwerda Cycling..

I had to release the best talent (Rik Speelman - SP good, FR average, TQ good) because he maxed early with av 39 :(

My hope is on Jort Siepel (CL & DH good), but he misses out on HL and on Charlie de Nooy (CL good, HL average, DH small & FR+TT small.

I am not sure about Sebastian Tempelaar (CB very good, CL good) and Evert Hal
